The seca 216 has a variable scale with a range of 1.4 – 90″ that is inserted into a 55.3 inch frame. The height rod is easily mounted on the wall at the desired height. As the user can choose the measurement range based on how the height rod is mounted on the wall, the seca 216 is suitable for measuring children or adults. The results are clearly displayed in a window on the side of the rod. Head piece freedom of movement can be adjusted with tensioner knob. Measurement scale is printed in centimeters on one side of the tape and centimeters and inches on the other.

The seca 286 EMR-validated Physical Distance Scale provides touchless ultrasonic height measurement with three pairs of sensors that record the patients height in milliseconds. The optional voice guidance feature is programmed for independent measurement so that individual as well as series of measurements can be carried out rindependently and precisely. EMR-validated: results can be transmitted to EMR. Other benefits include the high-capacity measuring station equipped with a three-line multi-function touch display that shows height, weight and automatically-calculated BMI and high-capacity glass base for ease of cleaning. In addition, the scale has a fine graduation of 0.1 lbs that lets the user detect slight changes in the patients weight.
